Having this week released his new album, The Gifted, Wale stopped by Late Show with David Letterman to perform his new single off the set, "LoveHate Thing." He was joined by Sam Dew and DJ Drama, proving the incredible, soulful track sounds amazing both live and on the studio record. The rapper explained to the audience that it's what he calls "new black soul." Whatever you call it, it's solid—as is the entire album, which features Meek Mill, Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, Rihanna, Jerry Seinfeld and others.
The Gifted is expected to debut at No. 1 on next week's charts with an anticipated 150,000 copies sold in its first week. This would give Wale his first No. 1.
