Brooklyn’s Alberta Cross this week premiered the new video for their track “Crate of Gold." The new visuals, which were directed by Grant James (Father John Misty, Gogol Bordello), feature actress Drea De Matteo (The Sopranos, Sons of Anarchy) commanding the screen with signature grit and tenacity. Shot in Los Angeles, the clip reveals Matteo’s character is behind the kidnapping of Alberta Cross’ founding member and singer Petter Ericson Stakee.
"The concept of this video was developed after our last tour across America and Europe,” Ericson Stakee said. “You can only handle a certain amount of lack of sleep and waking up in different hotel rooms in different cities every night until paranoia really starts kicking in. We found ourselves all having these crazy trippy nightmares about being chased with plenty of confusion and other mental things. It was quite funny when we all confessed this to each other one morning after a fine night of three hours of sleep!"
