Bon Iver has released a new song called "PDLIF," which stands for "Please Don't Live in Fear." The stirring new track arrived Friday as a symbol of comfort for those overwhelmed by the ongoing health crisis, but it's also meant to directly benefit health care workers on the front lines.

The Justin Vernon-led outfit is donating all proceeds from the song to Direct Relief, the humanitarian aid organization which is working with public health authorities, nonprofits and the private sector to deliver personal protective equipment—which is hard to come by right now—to some of those who need it most, the health care workers treating patients and putting their own health at risk.

The new song, which samples Alabaster dePlume's "Visit Croatia," features vocals from Vernon as well as Kacy Hill, with production from Vernon, Jim-E Stack and BJ Burton.

"PDLIF" follows Bon Iver's 2019 Grammy-nominated album and it comes as they previously announced 10% of all merchandise sales will benefit Feed My People and the Chippewa Valley Artist Relief Fund, two Wisconsin organizations supporting those affected by COVID-19.
