LA based multi-instrumentalist, producer and electro-pop, singer-songwriter Stephen has just released his highly-anticipated sophomore album AkrasiaThe 11-track offering contemplates existential issues such as inner awareness, meditation, love and addiction.

Akrasia is Stephen's most introspective and personal release to date. Diagnosed with a life-altering illness of Lyme Disease in 2016, Stephen has found inspiration in his darkest moments. This reflective past is entrenched in the album as is a fusion of genres including electronic, hip hop and baroque pop.

The lead single "I Never Stay in Love" begins as a ballad with intimate piano and delicate emotive vocals but soon culminates into a rambunctious electronic anthem. "I Never Stay in Love" highlights what Stephen does best, creating a genre-defying banger that is both musically edgy yet commercially sound. The single details addiction to new love and the listener can feel his pain but at the same time know his awareness will ultimately lead to a resolve.

The most commercial track on the album is "Stray Nights," a duet of witty banter back and forth between lovers. "Stray Nights" features downtempo beats and infectious melodies, making it the perfect chilled out summer jam. Then there is "Timeless", a nostalgic tune of embracing one's own self-confidence and encouraging others. "Timeless" showcases Stephen's stunning soulful vocals over dreamy soundscapes.

Akrasia will not only satisfy Stephen's existing loyal fanbase but should further attract new listeners with it's stunning originality.
