Holly Humberstone has shared her new single "Please Don't Leave Just Yet" and it's absolutely gut-wrenching but truly incredible.

The new song, which she co-wrote with The 1975's Matty Healy, who also co-produced the track, is a preview of Humberstone's upcoming The Walls Are Way Too Thin EP, which is out Nov. 5 via Darkroom/Interscope/Polydor Records.

Perhaps it's because the lyrics of the song are so striking and relatable, but the song just hits you at the core, as Humberstone sings candidly about wanting a lover to stick around for just five more minutes even though she's known for a while the relationship is over.

"The song is about wanting someone to stay so badly, even if only for five more minutes, because you know how much it’ll hurt when they leave," she says. "I think the desperation in the words really sums up how I was feeling at the time and how so many people must’ve been feeling last year when we were all completely starved of human connection! I often write songs with a bit of a visual in my head, and I kept picturing solitary places, like drifting far out to sea, so far that you can’t find a way back, or old deserted cargo shipping yards with all the lights at the edge of the city."

We've been listening on repeat. Ugh. Feel free to do the same.
