Toronto duo Jayli Wolf and Hayden Wolf (known together as Once A Tree) is back with new music. The ongoing Variance favorites on Friday released their new three-song project, an EP called The Good, The Bad.

"Back from hibernation," the pair said earlier this month on Instagram as they announced the new EP, which follows Jayli's own debut solo Wild Whisper EP, which was released back in June.

In May, the duo released a cover of Arlo Parks' "Black Dog" for Mental Health Awareness Month. "This song written by Arlo Parks has made us feel so understood during such an uncertain time in the world," they said at the time of the release. "We wanted to share our rendition with you all while we finish working on the next OAT project. We hope it makes you feel understood as well."

For Once A tree, which made their debut in 2017 with their album Phoenix, this new three-song offering showcases their growth, as it finds them embracing their highs and lows. It follows their previous EP Fool's Paradise, which they released last year.
