Following news of her upcoming album The Loneliest Time, Carly Rae Jepsen on Friday released her new single "Beach House."

The sun-soaked, wonderfully brassy track, produced by Alex Hope and co-written by Jepsen and Hope alongside Nate Cyphert, comes ahead of the full album, which is out Oct. 21 via 604/Schoolboy/Interscope Records.

The song sees Jepsen engaging in a series of dating mishaps and disappointments, highlighted by the punchline chorus: “I got a beach house in Malibu and I’m probably gonna hurt your feelings.”

Fans have been eagerly awaiting a new album from Jepsen, who made a big return earlier this year at Coachella and was announced back in May as part of the lineup for Austin City Limits Music Festival in October, of which the timing perhaps wasn't a coincidence given the now-public album release date.
