While this year's Grammy Awards may have been the Harry Styles show, his former bandmate has entered the chat today as Niall Horan is definitely back!

The singer on Friday shared his new single "Heaven," which he's actually been teasing for weeks. Late last month, Horan began sending fans around the world boxes containing a candle and lyrics from the chorus for the new song as well as a QR code which led to his new website. The new song is the first off Horan's upcoming solo album The Show, which is coming June 9 and is available now for pre-order.

"Heaven," which was co-written with John Ryan and Joel Little, who also produced, along with Tobias Jesso Jr., and it's Horan's first in almost three years, comes at the start of a very big chapter for the One Direction alum, who will be going back to his roots somewhat when he joins NBC's The Voice as one of its new coaches on March 6. And as we previously mentioned, he'll be making his festival debut this spring when he performs at Boston Calling in May.

"One thing I’ve learned over the years is that society loves to pressure us into reaching certain milestones by a certain age," says Horan of the new song's inspiration. "Whether that’s getting married or anything else that really should be based on our own instincts. As I’ve gotten older I’ve tried to let go of those expectations and just follow my heart. The chorus of this song is saying that what I have in my life currently is amazing. So it would be crazy to ruin that by giving into outside pressures.”

Hear "Heaven" now via Capitol Records.
