One of our favorites is back today with new music. That would be Norwegian artist Anna Lotterud (aka Anna of the North), who today released her new single "Swirl."

The hypnotic new track arrived Friday and it comes just months after her album Crazy Life was released at the end of last year via Elektra Records. It's just further evidence of Anna's ability to consistently deliver the sweetest pop gems. And we are grateful. There's also more good news, as "Swirl" is here to tease the deluxe edition of Crazy Life, which will be out April 28.

The song was co-written and co-produced by Anna alongside NEIKED, whose previous collaborations include songs with Zedd and The Kooks. According to Anna, it's a song about falling into old patterns and becoming comfortable with dissatisfaction.

"'Swirl' is quite a happy song inspired by sad feelings. It's a song about those big questions," says Anna. "What am I really doing here, on earth? I've always thought that life would get easier with age. But I was obviously wrong."

Hear "Swirl" now.
