Ruston Kelly's new album is finally here, and it's already one of the year's best.

After unwrapping this new era back in January when he shared his title track for The Weakness, the singer released the full album, out today on Rounder Records. It also includes the recent standout track "Mending Song."

At this point, it's hardly a secret how much of his personal life events influenced this new record. In the aforementioned "Mending Song," Kelly directly addressed his high-profile divorce from fellow singer Kacey Musgraves, which led to his subsequent decision to retreat to an old Victorian bungalow in the small Tennessee town of Portland.

Ultimately, he spent several months in "deliberate solitude" in attempt to process a sea of life-altering changes. “I felt a real need to understand myself a little better, and to rediscover the true foundation of who I am,” recalls Kelly, who has been candid in the past about his personal struggles, including drug addiction battles chronicled on his 2018 full-length debut Dying Star
