Drake has taken a page from Kanye West's playbook, releasing on Friday evening his new single "Started From the Bottom." The track, which is set to release for purchase following next Sunday's Grammy awards, is the first cut off his yet-untitled new album. In a post to his October's Very Own blog, the rapper-actor acknowledged that songs and artwork for the album are already in the works, as is a tour.

"I think it’s safe to say we’re back together again," he proclaimed. "Looking forward to seeing you all soon."

Drake's 2011 album Take Care earned him several hit singles, including its title track, "Headlines" and "The Motto." His tour last year was one of the most successful of 2012, grossing more than $40 million. The young musician was seen last month filming the video for his new song, of which Director X is reported to be at the helm.
