With the NBA Finals quickly approaching, The Roots have contributed a gritty new theme song for the upcoming championship, appropriately titled "Champion."

The Golden State Warriors and Oklahoma City Thunder are currently battling for the Western Conference title, while the Cleveland Cavaliers are up against the Toronto Raptors, with the Finals officially starting on June 2 on ABC.

ESPN on Monday released a 30-second TV spot previewing the song with footage of past victories from the likes of Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Shaquille O'Neal, Kobe Bryant and LeBron James.
