Ahead of the release of the soundtrack for the new film The Birth of a Nation, Pusha T and Meek Mill have shared their collaborative contribution "Black Moses," which features Priscilla Renea.

"Got me shackled up in chains / Even made me change my name," Pusha declares on the gripping track, offering the perspective of a runaway slave. "But they couldn’t trap my mind / This cry for freedom ain’t in vain.”

The Birth of a Nation: The Inspired By Album is out Friday (Sept. 30, featuring songs from the likes of Nas, Vic Mensa, 2 Chainz, Lecrae, Wale, The Game, K. Michelle, Gucci Mane, Lil Wayne and more. Meanwhile, the film itself arrives in theaters on Oct. 7.
