Dave 1 (David Macklovitch) and P-Thugg (Patrick Gemayel) are kicking off the weekend with a brand new single. Chromeo returned Monday with "Bedroom Calling."
Serving as the latest preview of the Montreal duo's upcoming album Head Over Heels, it's also a collaboration with The-Dream. It follows the band's lead single "Juice," which was released back in November.
“We’ve been obsessed with The-Dream since ‘Fast Car’ from his first album," Dave 1 said of the new track. "To us, he’s a modern day funk auteur, like Prince or El Debarge. This song pays homage to our favorite work of his."
In addition the new music, Chromeo has also announced a new global tour, with the first North American and European dates confirmed today. Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. local time, but a fan pre-sale will begin Tuesday (Jan. 30) using the password "bedroomcalling".
Chromeo's new album, which doesn't yet have a release date, has been one of Variance's 45 Albums to Watch for in 2018.
