U2 frontman Bono took a moment during the band's performance over the weekend at the iHeartRadio Music Festival to slam Donald Trump's brand of anti-American pessimism.

“Are you ready to gamble your car?” Bono asked the Las Vegas crowd, followed by an onscreen clip of the Republican presidential nominee saying, “What do you have to lose?” Bono then asked the audience if they were "ready to gamble the American Dream"—to which the reality television star is seen saying, "The American dream is dead."

Not true, according to Bono, who then protested the bankruptcy-prone candidate, shouting, “The American Dream is alive!”
