Back in February when The Knocks released their Dragonette collaboration "Slow Song," we knew we were in for a treat. And we were right!

Today, The Knocks released their full album History, and it's exactly what your weekend needs. And if you're like us and you've been watching the "Slow Song" video on repeat on a weekly basis, it's another excuse to watch the video again and again, and dance around the house like nothing else outside matters. And of course, the rest of the album is great, but "Slow Song" is probably one of our top 10 favorite songs of 2022 so far.

Elsewhere on the record, it's stacked with features from some of our favorites, like MUNA, Foster the People, Yoke Lore, Mallrat, Cannons, Cold War Kids, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs and more.

"History is our third full-length album and a return to our indie dance roots," says The Knocks. "We started this journey over two years ago—an exploration of nostalgia, escapism, and relationships. We invited friends over to make music with us and reconnect. Collaborating has always been our favorite thing to do, so this record was about returning to our early days and making the music we truly loved with the people we loved."

They continue: "Midway through recording, we were forced to isolate and put everything on hold. There was uncertainty in the air and a feeling of uneasiness, but as we continued into this extended pause, we were able to sit down and really figure out what we wanted out of this album. All the pressures and obligations dissipated, and we got back to just focusing on the music. History is about looking to the past in order to move forward and we couldn't be prouder of this body of work."
