While she continues working on her forthcoming debut album, DeJ Loaf has released a simmering cover of Erykah Badu's "Phone Down."

The song appeared on Badu's But You Caint Use My Phone mixtape, which she released last fall. And the Detroit rapper's rendition of it follows her own All Jokes Aside mixtape, which arrived earlier this year.

There's no word on when DeJ Loaf's album might be released, but her "Phone Down" cover (dubbed a remix) can be heard below.
