Well, Happy Wednesday to you because Michael Christmas has new music out today.

After sharing his song "Girlfriend" last month, the Boston-based rapper has now released a simmering new track called "Ball." Oh, and it's so damn good.

The track is the latest preview of Christmas' upcoming album Role Model, which he confirmed today will arrive on June 22 via his new home label Fool's Gold Records.

"Essentially what this album is capturing is me trying to teach the kids (which I use my sisters as the vessel for) how I maneuver through the craziness we see everyday," he says of the new record. "I had been questioning for a long time whether I'm a good role model or not and came to the conclusion that I am a piece of shit... but who better to lead the kids through this piece of shit world than me?"

He adds: "I made an album talking about the way I see things and my life as of late, while having my sisters watch me and pick up on these things themselves."

In addition to the new music, Christmas recently wrapped a stint opening for What So Not's North American tour.
