Pharrell at Something in the Water, by Dan DeSlover

Poor weather conditions couldn't completely dampen Pharrell Williams' first-ever Something in the Water over the weekend, as the Virginia Beach fest marched on with the likes of Travis Scott, SZA and Pusha T delivering stellar sets.

Storms in the area forced organizers to scrap the first night of festivities, but the rest of the weekend proved Pharrell at the ultimate festival curator, not only offering a stacked lineup consisting of Jhené Aiko, Diddy, DRAM, J Balvin, Kaytranada and others, but he also managed to bring out plenty of guests for his own set.

During his Saturday performance, he was joined by Jay-Z, Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliott, Snoop Dogg, Usher, Timbaland, Diddy and Tyler, the Creator.

In another year of the ongoing saturated music festival, SITW has definitely made a grand entrance. And while it's unclear if the fest will in fact become an annual event, Pharrell and Co. have really made a convincing argument for its return in the years to come.
