It's official: Kesha's Rainbow is the No. 1 album in the country.
As we previously reported, the long-awaited record had been tracking toward a chart-topping debut. And according to Nielsen Music, the album moved 116,000 equivalent album units, easily securing the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart. Of that tally, 89,000 were traditional album sales, not counting streams.
Rainbow's first-week sales mark the second-largest week for a woman this year, behind Katy Perry's Witness, which was released in June and debuted at No. 1 with 180,000 units.
This is Kesha's second chart-topping album, following her 2010 debut Animal, which also started at No. 1.
The singer will kick off a North American tour next month in support of the album.
