Days after leaking her debut album, Dirty Gold, against her label's will, Angel Haze on Saturday released a new video explaining the method to her madness.

In the five-minute clip, she tells fans that the album was ready seven months ago and has basically been sitting in limbo all this time. She goes on to say that she's "been so desperate" to get the new material into fans' hands because "I went in and worked my ass off."

Haze explains that the true urgency is based off the fact that she really just wants to help people, and while admitting she understands the business of her record, ultimately she doesn't believe anyone should have the power to stifle your dreams.

She also confesses that she doesn't "give a fuck about marketability" or "going platinum," before adding that it's important but it's not the most important aspect. Ultimately, she says that "at the end of the day, if you want something bad enough, you'll get it. If you don't, you'll get lost, man. And I refuse to get lost."

Watch the clip below. Dirty Gold, previously scheduled to release March 3, now arrives on Dec. 30 via Republic/Island.
