We had a feeling this was it, but Rick Ross confirmed on Wednesday that his latest album, Mastermind, finally has a release date.
The Bawse will release his sixth full-length just in time for Christmas, on Dec. 17. On Wednesday afternoon, he tweeted: “Mastermind. 4th Quarter. Takeover. Its Over. Get Ready. 12/17."
The 37-year-old Maybach Music Group head will also kick off an 8-city mini tour on Nov. 12 in Detroit.
Updated: Ross has now shared a trailer for the upcoming record, seen below. The clip includes footage of the MC dating back to 1999, as well as news coverage of his shooting scare earlier this year in Florida, layered with clips of other historical shootings and "revolutions," with the words of Malcolm X echoing in the background: "Historically, revolutions are bloody. They have never had a bloodless revolution."
