One of our favorite duos—joan—is back with new music this week, and it's another banger!

The pair on Tuesday released their new song "don't wanna be your friend," a super catchy yet brutally honest offering. Co-written with their friend Jonathan Capeci of the band Nightly, it's the first preview of their official debut album Life Death and Everything in Between, which took over three years to make.

The duo says the new song is about "growing up though and knowing that you just can’t continue being friends with each other, because you know how that situation turns out." They continue: "Hope this song resonates with you in some way—makes you realize you need to cut that person out of your life, makes you move, makes you want to start a band, makes you want to call your best friend :).”
