Beach Fossils have confirmed a new album is coming later this spring. And on Tuesday, the band shared the lead single called "Don't Fade Away."

It's a dreamy first offering from their new album Bunny, which is coming June 2 via Bayonet. It will be the band's first studio full-length since 2017. The new song is also accompanied by a video directed by Kevin Clark (Finneas, Flatbush Zombies).

According to the band's ringleader Dustin Payseur, the upcoming record puts greater emphasis on pop structure. "This is the first record where I’ve consciously thought about writing a chorus," says Payseur.

He adds of the new song: “‘Don’t Fade Away’ is about missing old friends, being on tour, self-medicating, longing, anxiety, love, being an idiot, having fun, embracing your mistakes and keeping your spark.”
