Texan psych pop artist Julian Skiboat opens up about his feelings of loneliness and isolation in the honest new single “My Room.” Something I’m sure we can all relate to this past year, being confined to our houses and unable to spend time with our loved ones. Though Skiboat somehow manages to deliver this melancholy ode through a feel-good, jazz-soaked tones, making us forget all our worries and bringing a wash of happiness and ease over us.

Jazzy guitars, warm keys and a sunny, upbeat rhythm section create the backdrop for this infectious track, accompanied by Skiboat’s laid-back, relaxed vocals. Hi lyrics are painfully honest and we can’t help but feel sorry for the San Antonian musician, leaving us wanting to befriend him and let him know that everything will be ok. Skiboat shares, "It's about feeling bored, lonely, and stagnant.  I have such a love for this song because I think it really represents me well. Having this upbeat happy instrumental with slightly somber lyrics really embodies me as a whole."

"My Room" follows the release of the intoxicating "Flowers"—another track which showcases the songwriter's ability to bring a little light in darker times. So if you’re feeling a little blue like Skiboat, then turn this track up loud and let’s all lose ourselves in his glowy, fuzzy, delicious sound.
