It's official. The Civil Wars will return with their self-titled album on Aug. 6. After making clear last month that they intended to release another album this summer, the duo on Tuesday made official the release date. But they didn't do so empty-handed. Following days of teasing, the pair comprised of Joy Williams and John Paul White unveiled a new track titled "The One That Got Away."

As the momentum builds leading up to the official release of Born Sinner, J. Cole's new album, the MC streamed the album Thursday night in New York. But if you weren't fortunate to be there, you are in luck. The 16-track standard version is now streaming in full below.
Yes, it's early in the week. But it's going to be hard this week to top J. Cole's new cut, "Crooked Smile," featuring TLC. Yes, TLC. The track, which dropped on Tuesday, is the perfect dose of '90s R&B meshed with fresh verses by the rising prince.
Portugal. The Man is ready to return, and the Portland-based band is looking to make quite the impression. Their new record, Evil Friends, produced by the one and only Danger Mouse (Jack White, The Black Keys, Norah Jones). Not only does the producer (aka Brian Burton) have a notably golden touch, but the band is offering some of their best material since their 2005 inception. 
J. Cole on Friday unleashed another new track ahead of his forthcoming album, Born Sinner. The new cut, "Niggaz Know," certainly acknowledges how far he's come since his 2011 debut album, but the track still sounds raw and somewhat like a confessional.
“Ladies, ya’ll want to do it again?” Kelly Rowland asks her Destiny's Child mates at the beginning of her new track, "You've Changed," before Beyoncé and Michelle Williams respond with their own verses, which they each recorded separately. 
Ellie Goulding has managed to crank out another summer jam, this time by covering Alt-J's breakout hit "Tessellate." The smooth, jazz-infused cut is laced with just the perfect amount of synth, while showcasing the British vocalist's sultry soprano.
Following his wild venture with Pharrell and T.I., Robin Thicke's new single is a softer ballad, more in line with his previous work. "4 the Rest of My Life" can now be heard below, ahead of its official May 28 arrival on iTunes.
Pharrell has contributed three songs to the forthcoming Despicable Me 2 soundtrack, but you can hear one of the tracks below. The singer-producer also co-produced the soundtrack with composer Heitor Pereira.
