Summerfest kept the momentum going during its second weekend, returning to Milwaukee's lakefront from June 25-27 with another three days of music spanning hip-hop, rock, country, electronic, pop and plenty in between.
The weekend once again demonstrated the sheer range that makes Summerfest unlike almost any other major music festival. Thursday brought together artists from across generations, with hip-hop legends Big Daddy Kane and Common sharing the day's schedule with '90s favorite Lisa Loeb, hard-rock powerhouse Halestorm and electronic heavyweight Subtronics. Rising artists including Porch Light, Elijah Scott, Lanie Gardner and Hazlett offered plenty more to discover along the way.
Friday shifted gears with a particularly stacked lineup, as country star Cody Johnson took over the American Family Insurance Amphitheater with special guest Jessie Murph, while former One Direction member Louis Tomlinson drew his own crowd elsewhere on the grounds. Grouplove brought its unmistakable indie-rock energy to the festival, while Tucker Wetmore, Alex Sampson and Elderbrook added even more variety to a day that stretched from country and pop to rock and electronic music.
By Saturday, Summerfest showed no signs of slowing down. Tracy Bonham and Hank Azaria and the EZ Street Band were among the day's performers, while rising country voices Carter Faith and Dylan Schneider joined a lineup that also included Australian rockers Wolfmother, Russell Dickerson and Audrey Nuna. Elsewhere, Jean Dawson, Maris and Soulidified added to the day's eclectic mix, helping close out another weekend that seemed determined to resist easy categorization.
That unpredictability remains one of Summerfest's greatest strengths. Where else can a single weekend move from Big Daddy Kane and Common to Lisa Loeb, Halestorm, Cody Johnson, Louis Tomlinson, Wolfmother and Audrey Nuna? Across the sprawling grounds of Henry Maier Festival Park, the second weekend offered countless opportunities to discover something new, revisit an old favorite or simply stumble onto a set you hadn't planned to see.
With one final weekend still ahead, Summerfest 2026 had already delivered six packed days of music across Milwaukee's lakefront, with plenty more still to come.
